Ken Searcy | Performance Bio

Ken brings a wide range of experience to the drum set from his years of freelance professional work in Calgary and Edmonton. Small jazz trios, big bands, concert bands, symphony percussion, theater productions, concert tours, jingle and album recording.

Since moving to the Yukon he has worked with Daniel Janke on a number of Longest Night concerts and the album “Not Too Dark” as well as the Daniel Janke Trio with Jay Burr. He has also toured Taiwan and recorded the “Caribou Commons” album with Matthew Lien.

Ken has performed with The Edmonton Jazz Ensemble, Calgary Saturday Pro Big Band, Big Miller, George Koller, Bob Stroupe, Moe Koffman, Herb Ellis, Bennie Wallace, Jean-Pierre Zanella, Tommy Banks & Frank Mills to name a few.
